Mahad Mohamed

Chief Executive Officer

Mahad brings a wealth of experience and expertise in crypto accounting, tax, investing, operations, and finance, stemming from the early days of Bitcoin. He has successfully consulted for over 19 crypto companies and collaborated with numerous legal professionals on regulatory matters. His strong educational foundation and background in general practice accounting significantly bolster his capabilities.

With over 24+ years of Canadian and international tax and accounting experience, Mahad has advised a diverse range of clients on domestic, international, and cross-border business and estate tax matters. His expertise includes corporate reorganization, tax structuring for Canadian & US inbound and outbound investments, and tax planning for small owner-managed private corporations. He effectively addresses the tax implications of private partnership initiatives and assists clients with tax disputes and audits.

Mahad has served numerous industries, including not-for-profit, social housing, music and arts, real estate, legal, medical, retail, wholesale, food services, import/export, and transportation. He empowers these sectors to take control of their financial futures, develop efficiencies for sustained growth, enhance profitability, scale operations, secure funding, comply with tax regulations, and implement tax planning strategies to optimize their tax positions.

Mahad holds multiple prestigious designations such as Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Trust and Estate Practitioner license, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics and Computer Science. Mahad is also a Certified Acceptance Agent (CAA) of the IRS.

His experience includes working for Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Big4 accounting firms before acquiring Tax Partners in 2014 and working as a Rulings Officer for the Federal Tax Authority of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).


Warren Stableford

Director of Operations

Warren has over twenty-five years of senior management experience in small, medium and large organizations in the banking, health care and travel industries. This historically included starting and growing technology companies as well as working for a large banking institution in numerous teamwork and project management capacities. In recent years dating back to 2021, Warren brought his skillset to the exciting world of Crypto as an investor, trader and now as a member of the Block3Finance team to assist individuals, founders and corporations on the Web3 infrastructure and finance side of the Crypto industry.

Strategic vision within vertical markets is a core competency along with the ability to generate product, marketing and operational strategies as well applying these strategies to help an organization and its clients achieve sustainable and scalable business growth.

Warren thrives on being part of disruptive organizations that can leverage his unique and well-rounded skill sets blended from entrepreneurial passion, management acumen, strategic vision as well as strong operational and implementation skills developed from many years of experience.

Kevin L. Ball

Account Director

Kevin is an emerging finance and accounting professional with a strong background in both traditional financial operations and specialized expertise in the crypto and Web3 sectors. Currently pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Commerce at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business, Kevin combines academic excellence with hands-on experience to provide strategic financial solutions for a rapidly evolving industry.

For over four years, Kevin has gained invaluable experience working with the leadership at Tax Partners Inc., a boutique accounting and tax firm specializing in complex tax planning, corporate restructuring, and cross-border tax matters. During this time, Kevin developed a deep understanding of Canadian and U.S. tax regulations and helped advise clients in industries such as real estate, professional services, and not-for-profit organizations. His work has contributed to optimizing tax positions, ensuring compliance, and improving overall financial efficiency for clients.

At Convoy Finance, Kevin took his expertise into the digital finance realm, working with crypto and Web3 startups. As a key member of the team providing fractional CFO services, tax planning, and compliance strategies, he played a pivotal role in advising businesses from pre- seed to post-listing stages. His responsibilities included financial analysis, treasury management, and crafting tailored tax solutions for companies navigating the complex regulatory landscape of blockchain and cryptocurrency. Kevin’s work has been instrumental in helping these startups scale, raise funding, and maintain compliance in a rapidly changing environment.

In addition to his professional experience, Kevin supports the teaching team at McMaster University, helping to deliver the Financial Accounting course to a section of students. His passion for education and finance allows him to foster future professionals in the field.
